QM2 CARIBBEAN YULETIDE 12/20 - Families?

We are a family of 4 sailing on this 14 night wonder. We've heard so many mixed reviews we'd just would like to know if there are any other families out there going on this voyage. Particularly girls that are preteens. We have 2 girls, 10 and 12. Maybe the girls can break the ice with emails. Let me know. Thanks. Stephanie, Long Island, NY.

We have done this same sail for the last two years and enjoyed it immensely. I recall standing around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve singing carols with passengers and crew. A young girl was standing next to me. I wish her a Merry Christmas and she replied politely, "We do not celebrate Christmas but I really like the singing part." Perhaps she will be on your sail. Your girls will have a super time. The staff assigned to keeping the young people occupield were terrific. I was working on my laptop in Connections one evening when a group of pre-teens came in and asked if I was American. I confessed and they begged me to sign their scavenger hunt paper. They attend the evening shows as a group with special seats set aside for them. They will have a great time dressing up at night and feeling quite grown up. Bring along some books (if they are readers) for quiet time, a camera, and do encourage them to keep a journal of their voyage which they can illustrate with photos they take. If you are particularly adventurous they or you could send these back to grandparents at home on a daily basis. Even if there are no other young people on board (and there will be at that time of year) your girls will have much to talk about when they return.

How's that for CC member responsiveness?!? I suppose the 12/20 departure is what lead to the confusion (same date this year).
