Voyager Mediterranean back to back - need to disembark?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of booking a 4 day, followed immediately by a 3 day Mediterranean cruise on the Voyager of the Seas. The ship embarks and disembarks in Barcelona for each of them. Will it be necessary to pack up, disembark, clear immigration, check-in, embark in between the 4 day and the 3 day? Or is it possible to keep the same room and just leave the ship to sightsee for the day?

I've never done a b2b but from what I've read on the boards it is certainly possible to book the same cabin for both cruises and then you would not have to pack up at all. Even if you have to change cabins my understanding is that your steward would help you move your stuff. You do not have to remove your belongings from the ship in either case.

In some ports you must disembark the ship and clear customs and then you can return to the ship. Other ports allow you to remain onboard. But it sounds like you want to get off and sight-see anyway so that would not be an issue for you.
