travgurl Posted April 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2007 On the other nights that are not formal, are capris acceptable with a nice top in the dining room?
Rainberry Posted April 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Yes definitely, as long as they are not denim.
mh1973 Posted April 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2007 I wore capris on non formal nights, it's labeled as casual night, and then says no shorts, tank tops or beach attire please. I know denim in the dining room is a hot topic around here, but I can't tell you how many jeans, shorts, tank tops I saw in the Dining room!!!!!! In fact on formal night, I even saw men without ties. Ct Cruise Guy Posted April 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2007 In fact on formal night, I even saw men without ties. OMG Call the fashion Police... I often wear a blazer w/o a Tie and a bright color dress shirt, very stylish!!!!!!:D
Kurbanfan Posted April 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2007 On the other nights that are not formal, are capris acceptable with a nice top in the dining room? Of course you can....even denim capris...:)
mh1973 Posted April 24, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2007 It didn't bother me at all what the other people were wearing. I think that you should wear what you feel comfortable in. The only reason that I noticed what everyone was wearing was because of the big debate on this board.
hstrybuf Posted April 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Perfectly fine. I wear mine on all my cruises, Carnival or otherwise, on casual nights.
Kurbanfan Posted April 24, 2007 #8 Share Posted April 24, 2007 The only reason that I noticed what everyone was wearing was because of the big debate on this board. And this is the only place you will see that debate LOL! You won't see it on the ship....

Cotton Posted April 24, 2007 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2007 'Resort casual' is what you usually see in the Capers as the suggested attire for non-formal nights. Nice capris, nice top, and spiffy sandals would be just fine.
mh1973 Posted April 24, 2007 #11 Share Posted April 24, 2007 on our capers two nights it said "casual" and one night was "formal" and one night was "elegantly casual".
RCCLismyfav Posted April 24, 2007 #12 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Yes they will be just fine and so many people also wear jeans, white, blue and even seen some black ones. Agree with all that said wear what you feel comfortable in and certainly don't allow anyone to tell you any different. By the way, I never ever noticed what others wore until I started on these boards unless it was a really beautiful gown.
momofzeke Posted April 24, 2007 #13 Share Posted April 24, 2007 I wear my nice capri outfits on non-formal nights in the dining room all the time. Perfectly appropriate. Have fun! :)
rvrgirl Posted April 24, 2007 #14 Share Posted April 24, 2007 on our capers two nights it said "casual" and one night was "formal" and one night was "elegantly casual". Yep that's what our capers said also on our last 2 cruises.
Knights on the Beach Posted April 24, 2007 #15 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Capris are perfectly acceptable on casual nights -- and you WILL see denim in the dining room. There were no "elegantly casual" nights on any of our Carnival cruises with the exception of Celebration in 1997.

luv2cruz44 Posted April 24, 2007 #23 Share Posted April 24, 2007 I'll go you one better!! I wear capris on one of the formal nights. They are black satin with gold bangles around the legs, worn with a lacy top. Think they look better than my skirt, top & shawl I wear for the other formal night, but that's just my opinion. I agree with the other posters who say, wear what you want and just enjoy...you're on vacation.
