munchkin4 Posted April 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2007 Many of you have said that you arrive at the terminal at 11 am or so and are on board by noon. That sounds like an awesome idea and we will be sailing on the Ectasy from Galveston in October. Will it still be easy to board early if our ship just arrives back in port that same morning? Does same day turn-around make early boarding difficult?
CruiseNaked Posted April 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2007 We have cruised twice with Carnival, both times boarding around 1230ish on the same day that the ship had arrived earlier that morning. They are goooooooooood!!!
firefly333 Posted April 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2007 All the ships comes in and leave the same day turnaround. Its been known to happen that the ships get in late, so its not a given, but I usually am on the ship and eating lunch by Noon, never ran into a problem and went out of Galveston 3 times now. RCI is the only one who doesnt allow you into your cabin until 1 pm, you have to take your carry ons up to the windjammer to eat and watch until 1 pm when they let you into your cabins. Princess and Carnival both let us into our cabins earlier than that and then we went to eat lunch.
travel girl23 Posted April 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2007 We have cruised out of Galveston 4 times and each time we were at the terminal by 10:30 or 11:00. We have always been on board by noon and eating lunch on the Lido Deck. TG23
