gamomluvs2cruise Posted April 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2007 I was just wondering what form of transportation to take to get to the airport from The Sutton Place in Vancouver. My flight is a 8:10am, therefore I will have to leave very early.:)
cruiseryyc Posted April 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2007 A taxi would be your best bet at that time of day.
ell52 Posted May 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2007 A taxi would be the quickest and most efficient at that time of day.
Tobintemp Posted May 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2007 Taxi would be about $30-35. I don't think the Airporter Bus is operating at that time of the morning.

jerhardt Posted May 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Taxi would be about $30-35. I don't think the Airporter Bus is operating at that time of the morning. I have taken it many times early in the morning, but not recently. It stops at most major hotels in the downtown area. Here's a link to their site: http://www.yvrairporter.com/
gamomluvs2cruise Posted May 18, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted May 18, 2007 Because I left for the airport at 5am, I chose to take a taxi. The trip to the airport only took ten minutes! Thanks again for your advice, and I look forward to returning to Vancouver again someday!!!:)
LeftcoastBC Posted May 18, 2007 #8 Share Posted May 18, 2007 10 mins. ??? wow cabbie must have been "Flying" :D
gamomluvs2cruise Posted May 18, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted May 18, 2007 The cabbie told me we made it in 10 minutes. I didn't check the arrival time myself. I do know that it was very fast!!! My flight wasn't until 8:10am, so I had a wait before my flight. YVR was so easy to navigate and everyone there was friendly. It's better to have time to spare than run short on time. My flight was on Mother's Day, so I figured there might be some problems. I figured wrong!:D I do love Vancouver!!!!:)
Fblack Posted May 19, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 19, 2007 Under no circumstances take the Airporter Bus. Last year we stayed at the Sutton Place and had free transfers provided by RCCL. This was our 4th Alaska cruise so we know Vancouver pretty well. It's about 20-25 minutes to Sutton Place by taxi. The Airporter took over 90 minutes!! First we had to wait 15 minutes for the bus to arrive. Once we started, they have a set route and stop at every hotel on the way. They even make pickups on the way. Once we passed the hotel but were on the wrong side of the street so the driver would not stop. Spend a few more dollars and take a taxi.
