bubbles1209 Posted April 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2007 We're not very familiar at all with Royal Caribbean, but have a question, because we're thinking of booking with them. I've read in my searches that smoking is allowed in certain areas, but have not seen whether or not it is allowed in the staterooms. So obviously, my question is do they allow smoking in the staterooms/cabins? Thanks in advance.
cb at sea Posted April 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2007 Yes, smoking is still allowed in cabins. Casino, and a few bars also allow it. Otherwise, it's deck areas on only 1 side of the ship (usually Starboard)

brockmom Posted April 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2007 yes they do! You might not find an ashtray in the room, but just ask your room steward for one. On our first cruise...I only smoked on the balcony and used a pop can for my ash tray. but the second cruise, I smartened up and asked for the ashtray. One side of the ship is for smoking as well....so no problems. No smoking dinning areas, of course and the entertainment theatres. Smoking is allowed in most bars, some areas of the casino and there always seems to be a bar area outside the dinning area that allow smoking for the diehards. You are welcome to just sit and smoke without ordering a drink, so no concerns there either. brockmom
Laurie12820 Posted May 1, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2007 Thank you very much, and thanks for not flaming me:) No flames here, but I'm not going to tell my mother it is allowed. She promised DH and I she would quit when the Red Sox won a series, well, that long come and gone and she's still puffin....Maybe this will be it! I buy cigs on the ship because they are so cheap compared to home. (16.00 a carton) Happy cruising
