FLL to Port to hotel to FLL

Hello. We will be going straight to the ship when we land at 12:30 at FLL. After our cruise, we're planning to go to a hotel for 2 days to enjoy the beach, then back to FLL to go home.

 

My question is - shuttle or taxi for each leg of the trip? There are 3 of us - me and my 2 boys, 17 and 9.

Id grab a taxi, it wouldnt be much, maybe $10 plus tip. The port is not far from the airport, 5 to 10 minutes. Maybe 5 miles to the port or so. Very close.

Taxi by all means, priced for the ride, not per person as shuttles usually charge. The minimum fare whether it be from the port or the airport is $10.

My experience has been that going directly from FLL airport to the port between 11 a.m. and 1p.m. will be around $18 or more, not $10, just because there is so much traffic entering the port. Lines are formed to enter the port, and the meter is running. But of course you want to get on the ship to eat!!
