My husband and i were just on the Sensation (4/19/04) ....wonder if we ever crossed paths with you Evelynpsilva ? lol Then again there were so many people i don't know if we crossed paths with anyone twice! (besides a few people!) Anyways, this was our first cruise so we still have a lot to learn about cruisin'! But we throuoghly enjoyed our time. We had to adjust to it at first...getting lost and so on! I got motion sickness the whole first evening. YES, it is a very purple interior! Personally i don't believe this ship was remodled! It looked as old as 1993! lol Or they forgot to remodle our cabin! I wasn't very impressed with the cabin (certainly wasn't what they displayed on the carnival website). We had an oceanview stateroom. Flat screen tv??! you must have had the grand suite or something! lol But nonetheless, we didn't spend the whole time in the cabin anyways! The food was very good. The dinning room setting is very nice. I should have stocked up on lobster when i had the chance! Didn't realize they would only serve it one night! We missed out on formal night even though we brought our formal wear! doh! But we just wore our fancy dressup the following night and got some nice pictures taken :o The staff people were very friendly and always smiling. Walking down the hall in the morning they would always say "good morning!" We didn't really care for the shows. Not our type of enjoyment of seeing half dressed people jumping around! $10 for a bongo card was a little too much for a chance game, lol, i know lots of you like that though ;) We visited the casino, won a little and lost a little... no big lose or gain! hehe IF you like to drink then you probably would like this ship! I don't drink much so the alcholic drinks didn't really impress me as great tasting! I like frozen mudslides but they don't make them with ice cream only crushed ice... i was very crushed, lol, they just don't taste the same without ice cream! But tried other drinks too... Sorry can't help out in the lounges, keoroke (however that spelt) we didn't party there. The newlywed game was pretty funny...just don't offer yourselves to go up on stage! We took part in the Pearl Island Snorkle. It was fun, i won't go into that detail here! My only complaint was that the women's public restrooms smelled like an outhouse  again, are you sure they remodled this ship??! and the arcade games cheat, lol stealing our money! Overall, there is much to do on this ship, we enjoyed it! Finding myself getting the itch to try out another cruise! :)

Go ahead and post a review! I'll be on the same cruise in October and I'm reading everything I can about the trip.

What did you like / dislike? Did you do any excursions or go off on your own?

Did the embarkation / debarkation go smoothly? How was formal night? If there were any problems, were they resolved?

Planning to go on Sensation in August - I can't seem to find out if the partitions can open between balconies in Cat 12? Would anyone know which cabins have the steel wall (fire wall) between balconies? I can't seem to find any current pics of the Cat 12 either - Anyone who recently sailed Sensation your feedback would be apprciated! I'll be sure to post pics after the trip. Thanks!

I loved everything about this vacation. This was my first cruise and certainly wont be my last. In Freeport there were plenty of taxis to take you wherever you wanted to go. They also planned a time to meet you to bring you back to the ship if you wanted. There was plenty to do on the ship without being overwhelming. We didnt do any excursions. We went to the beach in both Freeport and Nassau. We did do parasailing on the beach in Nassau and it was amazing! It was absolutely beautiful. Embarkation couldnt have been easier. We didnt have much of a line. You go up and talk to someone. All they needed was our credit card, ID, and our stuff with our tickets in it. They give you your sign and sail card and your room key and your free to board. Debarkation was smooth as well although there was more waiting. You have to be out of your rooms by 8am. They serve breakfast while they debark deck by deck. You do have to wait in line to go through customs. One thing I would really suggest is to go up to the very front of the ship when its dark on a day you're at sea. The moon reflecting off the water with the gentle breeze is the most relaxing thing. I had an amzing time and I loved the ship. Everyone was so pleasant and always ready to help you.

My family just returned today from this 3 night cruise. This was our kids' first cruise but our last 3 nighter for a number of reasons, none of which are Carnivals' fault...well, except for the food on Lido...blech.

The rest of the time, we had a really nice time and did the Blackbeard deluxe excursion and fed the stingrays. That was a blast and the kids had a ball.

I wish more people did a little research about cruising before they actually took a cruise. I felt as if so many of the passengers just left their brains on the dock before we left port. Unfortunately, there was so much chaos during debarkation because so many passengers didn't even have there customs paper filled out OR cared what color luggage tags they had, that my husband and I actually got cranky with each other because so many people just could not seem to follow directions and made things incredibly unpleasant as we left the ship. We even had one woman screaming at another passenger for accidently bumping into her and not apologizing fast enough to suit her. She was in the line and didn't even belong in the line yet!

Can we rally for some sort of mandatory debarkation education before crusing???LOL It's just such a drag to go home from such a nice trip on a sour note.
