Mandarin Oriental

HI all,

 

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami? Any info on it would be great. Like, has anyone gotten it through priceline and if so at what price? What's near it, shops, restuarants etc?

 

Also I'm looking at 2 other hotels. Any input on which would be the best and why? The other 2 are InterContinental and Holiday Inn. I've seen alot of good things said about the Holiday Inn. We won't have a car so also need to know about getting a cab or shuttle and how much that would cost to the pier. Thanks for your input.

We are staying at the Mandarin as well, so I would love to hear about it. I think its pretty central, in downtown Miami, its suppose to have a great restaurant -- Azul.

I like the Intercontinental. I stayed there August 2004 and again in June 2007.

 

 

About three blocks behind the camera (for the above photo) is the Bayside Marketplace. To the right of the above photo is the free Metromover ...

I was just looking for my 1 nighter in Miami in Sept...

They are running a "Delight Rate" for $219 directly on their web-site. Basically an ocean-view room along with fitness priveleges and a free paper. Next cheapest is $269.

 

Haven't found it on any other travel site but then again, I wasn't really looking too hard either.

Both of these establishments are amongst the very best in Miami.

 

Both are highly rated and frequented by many celebrities.

 

Expect great service, great food at the restaurant and very high prices.
