Star ATM?

Is there an ATM on Star? I know there's a cash exchange machine for Euros, but can I get the US money first using my cash card?

Yes but an expernsive alternative, with $6.00 fee attahced...ouch!..better off using an affiliated ATM at a local bank that has an agreement with your banking institution...much cheaper way if you ahve to use an ATM.

I agree, the surcharges are onerous. The ATM's on board tend to be cranky, for the same reasons that internet connections are cranky. If there is no signal, you can't get cash. Also, once they run out, they aren't refilled until the ship reaches the end of its current cruise. My advice is to buy US dollar denominated travelers' checks, and cash them at the pursers desk or in the casino.
