Kwst8ofmind Posted May 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Hi all, I am looking for ideas to deal with my wonderful natural curly hair after a snorkeling excursion. My hair is short, but will be a wild poof ball if allowed to dry in the sun. Any ideas of head wraps, etc.? If so what kind and where can I get them. All suggestions appreciated! Trevoli Posted May 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Could you use some kind of leave-in anti-frizz treatment? T
Bufordite Posted May 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Sounds like we have similar hair, and I'd use a cute scarf! No way that I could just let my hair go after getting it wet.
ShedQueen77 Posted May 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Could you use some kind of leave-in anti-frizz treatment? T I use the Sunsilk De-Frizz right after swimming. I have wild hair too, but mine is long on top of it. The De-Frizz hasn't let me down yet!
Cruzfan34 Posted May 4, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2007 I plan on using a leave-in conditioner for when my hair gets wet on our cruise (which I NEVER use....I always use the rinse-out conditioner) . I also have curly hair and it gets frizzy if I air dry it....but if I use a conditioner or frizz creme, it will dry wavy with little or no frizz, although it will be flat, lol. Then I'll either put it in a bun or pull it back in a low pony tail and forget it. :D
MaddyMom Posted May 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2007 My hair is short and straight, I just plan to bring a cute hat, and not remove it until I get in the shower!
MiniMom57 Posted May 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 5, 2007 I used a floppy-brimmed hat on our recent cruise.....I look horrible in a hat, but it was a better choice than frizzy, puffy hair!!
lmmn Posted May 5, 2007 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2007 You could wear a cute wide headband. I usually just wear a visor to keep hair and sun out of my face....nobody is looking "glam" after snorkeling.
Rare skittl1321 Posted May 13, 2007 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2007 I have what sounds like the exact same hair. I just bring a bandana to tie over my head after swimming. Otherwise I'd look like a giant pouf ball.
AmberMarie Posted May 14, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 14, 2007 As soon as you get out of the snorkeling, comb your hair with a large tooth comb or with your fingers and put some defrizz serum or leave in conditioner in it. When it starts to dry a little bit, put it in a comfy high loose ponytail or wear it down if it's not too frizzy after that. I have friends who do this, I, unfortunately, have completely stick straight bodiless hair that does nothing, ever. haha
