balcony at sailaway question

We're going to be in our very 1st balcony next month on Valor, yay! We booked an aft balcony . My question is, how many of you have watched sailaway from your balcony? Is it better to see it from the balcony, or up on deck?

We always spend sail away on our aft Balcony:)

The only time we didn't was on our first cruise, you have to experience sail away atleast once up on deck.

I prefer watching the ship's departure from our balcony...

I prefer to enjoy the ships departure on my own balcony or if we are traveling with our best friends, on theirs. They always book a cat 12, we usually book a cat 11 so their balcony is bigger than ours!:)

If it is just the family then our balcony. If I know other people on board then I will met them up on deck or some cool opservation spot.

Have almost always sailed with a balcony cabin...but always prefer being on deck during sail away. Just like the festive atmosphere........
