Review - Snorkeling with Eagle Ray Divers

We booked the Two Reef Snorkel Tour with Eagle Ray Divers before we left on our cruise for $50 a person. We took a taxi to the little harbor their boats are moored at for $7. There was one other couple from another ship snorkeling and another couple scuba diving. The boat ride to the reef only took five minutes. The four of us snorkelers and a guide were dropped off and the boat took off with the divers. We drifted with the current for half mile, which was great because we saw a lot without a lot of effort. The guide brought tortillas to feed the fish, so we had plenty of company. He pointed out eels, small lobsters, etc and brought up a starfish for us to touch. The boat picked us up 45 minutes later and took us to another reef to repeat the process.

We highly recommend this company and would use them again. Very friendly, helpful, and personal. We saw several of the ship excursion snorkel boats nearby that must have had 50 people trying to snorkel in a tiny little area. Nothing beats your own private little tour.

However, this snorkel trip is not for people that will be nervous when the boat is not nearby. We were offered life jackets, but didn't take them. The other couple had never been snorkeling and took the life jackets, but were not at all concerned that the boat left. The guide did carry a flotation tube that also served as a marker to let other boats know we were there.

Thank you both for taking the time to post your experiences. I booked a dive trip with Eagle Ray for December and looking forward to the spending the day with them. I have heard nothing but good reviews and it is always great to hear more.
