What the best time of year to go to Tahati

We are thinking of going to Tahati in 2005. Would love to go in Decemeber.

What do you think? WE've never been on Princess and would like to give her a try. It's on a smaller cruise ship which doesn;t bother us.

Anytime would be wonderful! There are really two seasons in FP - the hotter more humid season that runs November to April and the cooler drier(not dry) months, May-October. We are going back for the second time in January. We had wonderful weather last time and are hoping for the same this time around.

We have been to Tahiti twice. Once in December, it rained 95% of the time there. The second time was in April. No rain. It was hot and humid no matter when you go. I would never go again in Dec. Later we heard that is the rainy season. We still had a good time in Dec. but it was better in April. Didn't have to use umbrellas.

We also went in April and had no rain. The weather was very nice and I'd probably go again at that time.

I can also vouch for the weather in april. I wish princess would off that same cruise up again. It was aboard the Dawn and we did b2b. the price we got at that time was also amazing.

We went the end of October/early November last year and the weather was PERFECT!

That's funny Carquay, Tahati. That's what my soon-to-be step-son calls it. Now I have it stuck in my head. :D

We were on Pacific Princess (new) November 03, Papeete to Sydney, and had good weather - somewhat warm, but not unbearable.

We went to Tahiti twice. The first time was July, the second time in November. The weather was not as hot and humid in July as it was in November (their summer.)

We went to Tahiti in June which is considered their "winter" season. The weather was absolutely perfect. It was somewhat humid but the average temperatures that time of year were low to mid 80's for a high and mid to upper 70's for a low and it was really not that humid (compared to the humidity here in VA in August anyway! The islands are absolutely amazing and I would imagine are beautiful anytime of the year!

We went in Jan twice and it rained 2 days the first year and 3 days the second time. You can go to krooze cams and see the weather for yourself. Last week(july) it looked pretty gloomy. The moral of the story is to go when its convenient for you. You will have great time
