how much time in Fairbanks?

There's a lot to see and do in Fairbanks - August is the Tanana Valley state fair as well, but you would need to rent a car.

I doubt if too many here know what "cruisetour#19" is, since we're all on different ships with different iteneraries. I think if you let us know what's included in that tour, the experts around here can give you plenty of ideas of what to do with an extra day. :)

I'm from Fairbanks and you can pretty much cover it in two days, one if you want to be very specific about what you do and when. The boat ride and the museum at the university gives you a lot of information and historical facts about the region. The ice museum is very small, but interesting. With a car you can drive north of town to see the pipeline or drive to North Pole or Chena Hot Springs. Have fun!
