funcruzck1 Posted May 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2007 every cruise I have been on has had penny slots and nickles. good luck!
French_Fry Posted May 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Thay might have 2 cent ones as well. After 5 cents it jumps to a quarter. But be careful, most of the 1, 2 & 5 cent slots require a 9 coin minimum and you can play up to 10 times the original bet so it can get expensive fast even on a penny machine. I completely agree, 1,2, & 5 cent slots can get really expensive. At first thought you thinks 1 cent is nothing but you can go thru $20 fast.... Keva Posted May 15, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2007 heneput and French_Fry are absolutely right. The 1 cent, 2 cent and 5 cent machines can add up real quickly if you don't know how to play them. I know that from experience. On the 25 cent machines, the max you can bet [progressive jackpot] is 75 cents [ 3 coins ] and I think I've seen a few 2 coins [50 cent machines] on Ecstasy. Good luck. I hope you break the bank :D
alexieb Posted May 15, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2007 On the Valor the smallest amount were the 2 cent slots.
tomboyy Posted May 15, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2007 not sure if they work the same as in Vegas but, I THINK, the lower the money amount the high the house take. Meaning if the house gets 9% on a dollar bet slot machine it will get a higher % on 25 cent slots maybe 13% Seen this on tv Tom

kstravelers Posted May 15, 2007 #9 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Just wondering........ Do the slot machines take real coins or tokens?
megansdad1 Posted May 15, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2007 They do take coins and dollars. Although .01 machines dont take pennies. They may take quarters and give you 25 credits.
kstravelers Posted May 15, 2007 #11 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Thanks, I was just wondering if I should be saving up my quarters. It seems like so many casinos only take tokens or paper money and no longer take real coins.

megansdad1 Posted May 15, 2007 #13 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Usually if I am saving up my change, I just exchange them at the bank before I leave. I would hate to be carrying all those quarters with me.
