Differences between SL and SP/SS

Im thinking about trying seabourn, im interested in the legend, yes because of its name and it was in speed 2 ;) , but i know it wasnt part of seabourn all along, is there any big differences I should know of?

The only difference between the Legend and the Pride and Spirit is: The Legend has only one lavatory in the bath! But it actually is more convenient, because you have more countertop space!

Legend is the newest of the triplets; however all are wonderfully maintained.

Sorry to correct you, Martha, but, of course, you meant one washbasin. :o The Pride and Spirit each have two. The family that washes together . . . .

Thanks all, but how come the SL started out with a difference cruise line and the one thing they changed was the wash basins....:confused:

A few other differences I noted (from the Pride) while on the Legend this past July:

 

1, The library is not glass enclosed

2, The pool doesn't have underwater viewing portholes

3, Pool placement is slightly different (slightly further aft) allowing for a bench

4, Larger shopping area

5, Legend was initially built without "Atlantis". It has since been removed from both Pride & Spirit.

Seabourn's owner had an option on a third ship from the yard, but wasn't prepared to spring for it at the date. A rival stepped in and took the hull. However, since the plans were laid and had been built twice, any changes would add a lot of cost--so they were minimal. Besides, it's so difficult to improve on perfection!

Built as Royal Viking Queen, then named Queen Odyssey to match Royal's fleet (Golden Odyssey, Royal Odyssey, Crown Odyssey) after Kloster purchased Royal (they already owned Royal Viking Line.) Vying with Elizabeth Taylor for most surnames...
