wishkc Posted August 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2004 Is there any good way to spend the time before that late flight? Anyplace to leave luggage - or should I just take a ship-sponsored excursion so that my luggage will be taken care of? Thanks.
Trevoli Posted September 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2004 That's what I would do. Then you don't have to worry about your luggage or getting to the airport. T
Cotton Posted September 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I agree. It's about the only way you'll really have any time to see the things you'll be interested in AND get to the airport on time. You won't have that much time, as you may not get off the ship until 9 or 9:30, then the tour, and having to check in for flight a coupla hours early....but still, six hours is plenty of time for a brief look-see. (Come back when you can really see the city!) Actually, being in the N.O. airport is a fun thing! There are SO many neat shops, restaurants to sample cajun cuisine, and sometimes a jazz band playing, AND you can get beignets & cafe au lait, too! I think our airport is one of the best anywhere!:)
jgmpuma Posted September 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I have seen signs in the terminal advertising a service that will collect your luggage and deliver it to the airport. I don't know what they charge, but if you are interested, I'll try to find out. This would give you the option of having lunch and bumming around the French Quarter instead of taking a tour.
