NCL Star - outlets

I have read numerous times to bring powerstrips. Just want to make sure that on the Star they are 3 prong outlets.

with all these comments about bringing power strips, how many outlets are there in each room.

 

i may be wrong but isn't against building codes to install anything but a three prong outlet.

I think its been the code since the mid 1960s, However many of us live in homes that are older. Because there are many homes with only two prong outlets, many power strips have two prongs to eliminate the use of an adapter. When my aunt bought a computer, my uncle replaced the outlet rather than use an adapter.

 

A power strip should be used with laptops. Since a two prong extension cord can plug into a three prong outlet, an extension cord is useful for non computer electronic equipment such as a razor or lamp.

 

Of course, check your electronics for three prong or two prong plugs and bring the appropriate power strip or extension cord.
