Shelben Posted May 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2007 We are going on SOS July 7th. Does anyone have any suggestions on what tours to take and what to see. We will be on a cruise ship from 9AM to 5PM. So will be limited on our time. What about in Venice? We will be there for one day before the ship departs and one day after. Do a search on this board re these ports..there have been several in the past week or two on Croatia and Split combined and there is a ton of info re what to see in Venice. as well as how to get around. You should have plenty of time to see the main sights given your time frame. england1 Posted May 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2007 We just got back from an SOS cruise. We did an RC excursion to the island of Hvar which is about an hour from Split. We really enjoyed it. However be warned that I think that Hvar is new to tourists and that they do not take Euros or USD's only their own currency the Kuna. We loved Croatia almost as much as we loved Venice. Have fun! wlbox Posted May 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2007 Trogir is a wonderful town, just walk around and enjoy. Split is a large, dirty port city, in my opinion the only thing to see is Diacletions Palace. I would definately take the excursion to Trogir. We just returned from Croatia.
