switching passengers in cabins after boarding...

Due to age restrictions I had to book one of the people in my group with someone over 25yrs, and we were going to just switch them back once we got on board. I've seen on past cruises kids staying in rooms by themselves and the parents in others and have read it's merely for booking purposes.

So once we board, will we be able to switch rooms? My TA said to just get extra keys, but I don't see how that would work?

Thanx for ur help!

We have done this several times, for age restrictions and for extra discounts and it really is easy. We just go to the purser's desk and they switch the room assignments and give you the correct key card.

my parents use to do this for me and my brother. some carnival ships have no problem correcting the room assignments at the pursers desk. however there are a few that give you extra sail and sign cards (also room keys) to distribute to the people who will need them. some of the ships on carnival have seperate room keys from the sign and sail.
