Which side of the ship faces the pier? (Ballantyne-Vancouver)

If Starboard is on the Right hand side of the ship you will have a great view of the North shore and the Burrard Inlet for Sail Away. The city of Vancouver - downtown, Stanley Park should be visible from the port side of the ship, but should have ocean view once we clear the Inlet. Starboard will also have a view of the coastline going Northbound and open ocean going south bound and should have the city view cruising into Port of Vancouver

To add to that we just completed our cruise on the Infinity and it came into Ballentyne Pier. We were also on the starboard side(right) and your view will not start until you back away from the pier. When you leave the port your balcony will be facing the heavily industrial part of the pier, but once you leave the views do get better. As the above poster said the views of the city will be on the port side but you can go up on top of the deck and view it. It is spectactular.

When you leave the pier the starboard side is facing the pier. But once you leave the pier then you are out in the bay. Frankly Canada Place is a whole lot better then Ballentyne Pier in my book but then we have to go where your ship's cruiselines says. When youare in the bay go to the port side and view the city, Stanley Park, etc.

technically it is an inlet not a bay - and I agree the view leaving the port will be better on the port side upon departure -but once we leave the inlet the Starboard side should have the view of the multi million dollar mansions, and shore line while the port side gets open ocean and ships
