The inspiring monument given to us by the Russian. It is on the starboard (right) side, at the very end, as the ship sails out into the river from the Cape Liberty Pier. Everyone that saw it from the ship was cheering. It is a beautiful (& sad) remembrance to 9/11. Very touching.

The Tear is an incredible sculpture. we saw it last year when we left port.

I stayed with a friend the night before our Liberty Pre-inaugural, and before dropping us off at the terminal, he drove us down to see the monument. It is just beautiful and was very moving. Aren't the two sides supposed to represent the twin towers with the tear in the middle? We used to live in NJ and still stay in touch, but I didn't even know this existed.

Yes, I think you're right. They represent the towers being ripped apart. :( They were ripped apart but all of us were brought together in unity.
