Well I Finally Did It!!!!!!!!!

So this is how it goes.

Have not been on a Carnival ship in a very long time.

Decided we wanted to go to the Western Med. next year.

Looked at Carnival Freedom And RCL Legend of the Seas.

Being Platium on RCL had a great offer $200 OBC, $200 Platium discount and gratuities paid. That is over a $600 savings How how can you pass that up? well we did.

Carnival offered us $200 past guest discount, $200 OBC and the cruise price was less the RCL even with the Gratuities thrown in. I forgot to mentioned I was able to book an aft with a 60 ft balcony....When it came to the bottom line..with all the RCL discounts Carnival was still less.

A new ship, love the ports, a huge balcony on the 7th deck that is dead center on the aft.

Thanks to those who answered my questions about Freedom it was very helpful in making my decision. From the pictures and the reviews I cannot see us having anything but a great time. The Carnival vacation planner Diane Lamont is terrific.

Ready or not Rome here we come.....a year and counting :-)
