Hertz - Port Canaveral

I just wanted to give anyone booking/planning on booking Hertz to go from Orlando to Port Canaveral a heads up -

 

Hertz will open its new location this Thursday and it is right next to the new Residence Inn (on right hand side as you come into PC on 528) - I was talking to the driver and they can't wait as the current location is a 22 minute run and the new location is a 7 minute run

 

I just came off Mariner (will do a review later this week) but renting in Orlando and dropping off at PC was seamless - I did not drop off luggage and family first - I used Hertz shuttle with lugage- the car line to drop off luggage at ship was very long and we would have wasted too much time - one word of caution - if you plan on overpacking and bringing 8 suitcases (plus carry ons) :eek: for 4 people - then you need an SUV - we had to upgrade from a full size both ways - Hertz was very accomodating - in fact it only cost us $10 more from ORL to PC, and they didn't charge us for upgrade on way back -
