cowmingo Posted May 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2007 My fiance and I are taking our first cruise in March of 2008 for our honeymoon. I was wondering what the tendering process on NCL is like for Grand Cayman. My sister went on Royal Caribbean and said it was hell if you didn't have a shore excursion booked. We aren't planning on booking any shore excursions so I was just wondering what I might expect. Thanks!
Plant Posted May 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2007 If you don't have to be the first one off there will be no problem :) . They will let those with ship exursion tickets off first. We usually wait about an hour after they call the first tender and haven't had to wait in line. I think they may give out tender tickets, but I can't remember since we didn't use them. Happy Honeymoon!

sandrews Posted May 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2007 My husband and I took our first cruise in 2004, it was also our honeymoon. We had a great time and although it was a bit overwhelming during the planning stages (documents, payments, ect) once we actually arrived at the boat, EVERYTHING was taken care of from then on, you won't have to think about a thing! We used a travel agent, which I highly recommend and we also booked a few shore excursions too...........you should at least look into them. We absolutely love cruising and can't wait to go again in September with Princess laurie
jmo1 Posted May 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2007 I would just relax, and not get in too big of a hurry to get off the ship. The most popular excursion at GC is Stingray City sandbar, which I highly recommend. Book a private tour in advance through a company such as Captain Marvin http://www.captainmarvins.com/ instead of a ship based excursion, because the private excursions are less crowded, better quality, and lower cost.
