MiniMom57 Posted May 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2007 If you are going on Adventure, be aware that the ship will be leaving port at 8:30pm, rather than 1am like it has been.....not sure you can do a sunset cruise with that sail time
MiniMom57 Posted May 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2007 I "googled" Aruba sunset cruise and got this one (among others): http://www.aruba-redsail.com/sailing.shtml
cb at sea Posted May 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2007 You will be on the best ship to watch a sunset! Why pay to do it on a smaller one?
Obaybee..tryingthisagain Posted May 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2007 Air Man, when we were in Aruba for the day we made plans to dine at the Flying Fish Bone. Going to that restaurant and dining on the beach at sunset was and still is our most favorite moment of the entire cruise. http://www.flyingfishbone.com/

polodad Posted May 29, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2007 Just a thought. When we were on AOS Aruba 5/6 sailing I wanted to snorkel in Aruba (german shipwreck) and do a sunset cruise. We opted for the RCI excursion Sail, Snorkel, Swing which is done thru Jolly Pirates. It leaves at 3pm & goes thru 6. We both agree it was one of the best excursions we've ever done. Great snorkel, cruise and bus ride.

tip Posted May 30, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 30, 2007 We used DePalm Tours in February--it was awesome! We were provided bus service from a hotel just down the street from the cruise ship terminal to the pier where it departed and then back to the cruise ship. There is nothing better than sailing on a REAL sail boat while watching the sunset and they had an open bar that was fantastic!
Arubalisa Posted June 1, 2007 #11 Share Posted June 1, 2007 You will be on the best ship to watch a sunset! Why pay to do it on a smaller one? Very true! The manner in which the ships are docked in Aruba give you the perfect opportunity to view the sunset on any part of the ship which is facing westward. We did this in December while eating Sushi and pizza on the Galaxy (after a tough day at the beach  ) and it was very memorable. Otherwise, I would recommend Captain Anthony and Tranquilo, if the days of the week are right. Or get your own group together and do a couple of hour charter.
