Drinking/Gambling informal survey

I am curious who would not go on a cruise if alcohol were not served, or if there were not a casino. For myself I do not drink so no consideration there.

I do gamble and although I have cruised and not gambled a penny I likely would not book a cruise if it were not an option. For example I would not book Disney for that reason.

I would be interested in others thoughts.

I also probably would not book Disney because of the lack of a casino. I enjoy a drink when on vacation and certainly wine with dinner, so that might stop me, too. Adult beverages and the casino are just part of the whole fun package for me.

I don't care at all about the casino, so I'd happily cruise without one.

No alcohol..well, I don't drink that much in general, but I do like a glass of wine with dinner. No alcohol woudln't be a deal breaker for me, but I'd rather have the option to enjoy some if I want to.

If the ship didn't serve alcohol...no I wouldn't go. Not that I'm a big drinker, but I do like to have a few. Gambling I could care less about. Hubby likes a little gambling but I doubt that he would not go on the ship because they didn't have a casino....we have gone on plenty of vacations where there was no gambling.

I wouldn't go again without a casino. Could do without the booze. My husbands like a few drinks though. We did Disney with no casino. To me it was boring after 9 o'clock. Saw a few shows and then it was bed time. I won the cruise. Otherwise, it wouldn't be my first choice. Too much money and too much kids running around. Not relaxing if you ask me. We had a big room so that was great. I like my casinos.

I could live without both ... don't care if I drink or gamble at all. Yes, I'd book. I also booked Paradise when it was non-smoking and it was great. First casino without that smokey smell.

The only things I couldn't live without are the wonderful meals and entertainment.

I would probably not book a cruise that didn't have a casino or serve alcohol, while my husband and just drink an occasional glass of wine at home on a cruise we like to try those foo-foo drinks, also I'm not a gambler just play slots sometimes, but my husband likes to enter the black jack tournaments. I figure it's a vacation and if that's what makes him happy and relaxed go for it!!! Also our children are 20 and 18 so a Disney cruise doesn't sound like fun for us!!!

Well, I average about one drink per cruise, so that would not be a deal-breaker. Similarly, one roll of quarters is the most we gamble, and don't always get around to that, so no casino would not be a problem. What would be a problem for me would be the probable prices for such a cruise. We are always grateful to those who drink and gamble more than we do, becuase I think they keep the fares low for all of us!

Nope, I don't need either. Love the ocean, the boat, the pool, the time with hubby. May drop $20 in the slots and have wine w/ dinner but neither make nor break the cruise!

I married into one of those families of Disney lovers (you know, let's buy a house in Orlando because we go to Disney so often, etc.) and every vacation involves going to see the Rat. However, with that being said, I absolutely refuse to spend money on a Disney cruise simply because of no casino. I am sure at some point, the old lady will drop the hammer and make me, but let me assure you, it will be one of those three day cruises; no longer.

DH and I don't drink so we wouldn't miss it on a cruise. However, if there were no casino.....booorring! Just love the sound of those slot machines. Hark, I hear them calling me now......cruising on the Miracle on 6/20.
