Shells on the Beach

West Coast Couple

Recommended Posts

I found many shells in the area of Kaibo, or Cayman Kai (see photos of area below). I found many bivalves and some murex. (Check out a good shell book by doing a google search on bivalve seashells of Florida).

This area is near Rum Point: right before you get to Rum Point, take a left on Water Cay Road and go about a mile or less. At the end is a little public park (no admission) that was not at all crowded when we were there last week. The water is very clear and good for snorkelling.
