Lincoln Rd. shopping area wildlife question...

Can anyone tell me what these green birds were, that lived in the trees amongst the Lincoln Rd. shopping area? There were tons of them, and I don't know what they are. :)

Those are parrots and they are located all over Miami. You see them flying together in packs. From what I understand they were parrots that were in the zoo before Hurricane Andrew and then they got loose and I guess over the years have multiplied and live around Miami in the wild.

I guess that would have been the obvious answer, but who knew there were wild parrots in Miami, LOL. My daughter (7) has been driving me bonkers, whenever she sees the pictures, asking me if I'd figured out what they are yet.
