Booking another cruise while on board...

I used the search feature, but I got an error.

Is there any perks to booking a cruise while you are on board?

DBF and I are looking to book our 3rd cruise in Sept of 08 to take advantage of the low prices... but would it be a better deal booking while we are on our ship? If we book now and the prices drop, can we get them to lower our price while we are on board?

Also, after this Sept, we will be past guests... do we call them when we get back from our Sept 07 cruise so that we can get any applicable discounts to our 08 cruise that we will already have booked at the time?

In summary-- Are there perks to booking on board? When should we book? Can we get past guest discounts applied to a previously booked cruise after we get back from our first CCL cruise?

Unfortunatly Carnival doesnt have a Loyalty ambassador so you can't book another cruise while on a present one.

now Rccl and princess, Celebrity they all have someone available for that and you usually get an onboard credit.
