any private tours in marseille, france that you would recommend

Hi ~ We will be in Marseille, France on Wednesday, June 13 off the HAL Veendam and would like to see what is nice in the area. The panoramic tour is already sold out, but people have been talking about going to some of the surrounding areas. Would anyone have any suggestions? :confused: We are a couple and would be willing to join someone else if they have a tour planned to someplace exciting. Thanks!

Do a search on the Med CC board as there is a lot of info re Marseilles on the board as to what to see and do re this port.I would suggest Avignon and or Le Baux as you will see the countryside as well as an old Roman town tuned into an artist colony and in Avignon the Palais du Pope etc.There are other towns written about as well.

There is a little land train that goes right up to the top of the hill to a church - the views are amazing - well worth doing.

It depends what you like to do. Aix en Provence is a beautiful city and well worth seeing.
