I'm sure all of you know that people get free cruises for giving lectures. Did you also know that you can get a free cruise for holding a little seminar in the buffet area every afternoon making cottonball faces and toothpick figures. On our last cruise there was a lady on her free cruise who stopped by our poolsidetable every afternoon with a permanent smile on her face and talking to us as if we were all two year olds. She was on a free cruise teaching crafts. Join in. My personal favorite is offering a class on selling on ebay. I'm guessing that many women would join that class and that Celebrity just might be interested. You never know.

I could give a class on how to arrange your own shore excursions for prices lower than the cruise line charges. Why do I get the feeling they won't be giving me a free cruise for this.....

Last year we took a cruise on the Zuiderdam and there were seminars everyday on selling on Ebay. It was well attended. My neighbors husband attended and learned atlot. I think the cruise lines need something for sea days and if giving someone a free cruise is a small price for them to pay. Pat

Gosh maybe I should try to do a lecture on "Money Saving Tips" i.e. smuggling liquor, removing tips, finding less expensive tours, etc...... bet they would love for me to show people how to take money from the cruiselines profits !

I'd like to give a power point presentation on body types that should not wear bikinis and speedos. Think X would go for that? I could give pictures as handouts so they could follow 'the rules' when they go shopping a la What Not To Wear. What cha think? :D

now people.....i think we are all missing the point here. the object is to give a lecture on what your are an expert in and to pass that expertise on to the pax. for example...i intend to lead a lecture on which beer goes best with different varieties of buffaloe wings.:-) any questions?

it will be a hands on lecture which will take place 24hrs a day at various locations throughout the ship. please refer to your daily newsletter for specfic times and locations

Shari2, I just thought that would be a good idea. I have no clue on how to sell on Ebay but I would be there rather than doing the trivia on Friends. For a free cruise I will figure out a way to learn though. :D
