nzggator Posted May 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2007 I will be going to Saint John in a few weeks (via Carnival) and can not decide between the Saint John River Cruise or the Bicycle tour of covered Bridges. I am very energentic and the bike ride should not bother me. The reason I'm hoping for the biking is see more sites then a bus or a boat can. Is this true? What is the town of Sussex like? Is it far from where carnival docks? Which do you think would you see more of Sanit John and get a lots good scinery. Good experence? or bad? I would love to do both sadly times won't allow. Please help............ Thanks in advance
SJNB Posted May 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2007 Sussex is a 45 min drive NE of Saint John. It is a rural farming/dairy town. It would all depend on what you were looking to do. 2 complete different areas
upstateny39 Posted May 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2008 We'll be going in late July, and I'm considering the bike ride as well. I'm looking forward to the exercise and the scenery, and the town of Sussex seems quite nice, at least from its website. I am concerned about the possibility of bad weather, though, so I'm not yet sure if we should book right away or wait until the morning of the tour. I would choose this over the cruise since we will have been on a boat for some time already!:)

If it is foggy and misty in Saint John it could well be sunny and warm in Sussex as it is inland and not subject to coastal conditions. As Acey mentioned in another post, weather in the Saint John area can vary from neighbourhood to neighbourhood.
