Transportation from Gatwick to Southampton

Has anyone ever used exclusiveairports .com for transportation to ship and return to Gatwick? If so how was everything?

We used Woodford Chauferred (sp) Cars last year and they were great...but on the expensive side. It was worth the $$$ for the comfy ride and service their drivers gave.

We enjoyed getting a one-way rental car at the airport and driving ourselves down. This works best if you are arriving a day early. It was nice to be able to go at our own pace.

Another option : There is a train from Gatwick to Southampton then a cab to the port. This is with minimal luggage handling ! If you are not at rush Hour(s) the cost is cheap. If it applies always ask for the senior discount !

The train from Gatwick to Southampton is about 2 hours, and costs about £45 round trip per person.

 

That is just getting a quote with assumed dates, your exact dates may make a difference.
