george2000 Posted June 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2007 Hi, Has anyone ever stayed in a cabin on the Lido Deck of the Triumph. We need an accessible room. Only ones left are right next to the public areas on the Lido Deck. Any thoughts? Looking at going on 7 day leaving Dec 15. Might it be quieter since it's Christmas or is that just wishful thinking:)
nothomeonacruise Posted June 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2007 We're on the Lido, too. I have heard nothing but good things about the Lido deck, but I'm not sure about cabins close to the public areas, though. Our cabins last year on the Triumph were on the Empress deck. southbayer Posted June 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2007 Great deck to be on... Its where the fun, sun, and grub is... Jus choose a stateroom a little farther away from the outer doors
mommaC82 Posted June 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2007 We stayed on Lido Deck on our Victory cruise on May 20-27. Loved everything about it, except we were pretty close to the elevators. Took us a day or 2 to get used to the "ding" sound. Other than that, was a great location! As for not staying in a room near the public areas, the rooms are in their own, private hallway. No one other than passengers whose rooms are on that deck walk down them.
Ronath Posted June 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Previous poster is correct. Lido rooms have their own private hallway. We definitely prefer Lido Deck.
98Charlie Posted June 6, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Haven't sailed the Triumph but were upgraded to the Lido deck on our Legend cruise a few months ago. Absolutely loved it. We were several cabins down from the pool & food area. Never heard any noise from the pool area while in our cabin, heard only some outside noise from the Lido deck while on our balcony which was about the same type of noise you would hear from any balcony on the ship. Only problem we had was we were so close to the pizzeria that we gained a few pounds when we took a couple (or three, four or more) slices of pizza back to our cabin at night to eat before bedtime. Would take another lido deck cabin in a minute when the chance comes.
