Dawniepoo Posted June 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2007 We are planning for next year. So, when is the best time to go to Alaska where its not so cold?
bagelme Posted June 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2007 Well, we just got back from the first NB cruise on Sapphire Princess, and we never wore anything heavier than a light jacket in every port. No rain whatsoever either, but.....we were warned to expect just about anything and we came prepared. Everyone also said that it was very unusual for it to be so nice all week....we were very lucky! Blamar Posted June 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2007 We just got off the Golden Princess May 26-June 1 and it was quite nice. I would not want to go any later because the crowds were getting to be a bit nutty. Five ships in one port where the population of the town is small than half any one of the big cruise ships is pretty overwhelming. In the summer things will get worse. OTOH, we have now been to Alaska twice in May-June, our next trip will be a mid-September voyage. Happy sails,
