I forgot to mention this - as we got further into Alaska, I was awakened/attacked each morning around 5am by bright bolts of sunlight. I felt like a vampire as I scurried to shut the curtains. And, one night around 1am after gambling late, I happened to look out the window and noticed that while it was dark out, there was STILL light in the sky.

 

Would I have given up the outside? Nah - aside from being burned awake each morning, it was nice to see mountains go by in the window.
