Another Enchantment cabin question

Recommended Posts

There has been lots of discussion on the new cabins that were added to the Enchantment of the Seas. However, I have not found a difinitive answer to what cabin numbers are new on deck 7 of the Enchantment. I did a search but still did not find out the answer to my question.

We are in the balcony cabin 7568 on The Enchantment for 7/26/07. Does anyone know for sure if this is one of the new cabins?

Also, I can switch to cabin 7588 which is closer to middle of ship but don't know what to do because I'm pretty sure its not a new cabin.

I know there is little differnce in the old and new but would still like to pick the best cabin for us. One adult will be sleeping on the sofa bed and I feel newer is definitely better in that regard.

Thanks for any help.

We are on EOS 10/22/07 - we have cabins 8582 - 8574. My sister has been on the ship several times since it was stretched and she tells me these should be the new cabins. You could look at where they are on Deck 8 and compare that to deck 7 to get a better idea if 7688 is a new one or not. I'm hoping my cabins are new ones simply because of the shower not having a curtain. But if they are not we're going to enjoy our cruise anyway!!!! As long as I'm not at work I really don't care where I am!!! Happy sailing!

The easiest way to figure it out is to line up your deck plan with the plan for deck 8. All of the D1 cabins are in the new section. If your room falls within that footprint, you're good. Also, for those on lower decks, Boleros is in the new section, so if you're room falls within its footprint, you're in the new section too.

After a quick glance, it looks like your current cabin is in the new section, but the alternate one is not.

As for the difference, not much. The inside cabins get a shower door instead of the nasty shower curtain, but that seems to be the only difference. IMO, you're going to get a great room regardless, but if you can get a brand new one for the same price as an old one, why not?

Thanks so much for your replies and for your help. Hopefully, 7568 is in the new section. I guess we will stay where we are.

As I said, the main concern is for one adult sleeping on the sofa. It would seem that the fewer people having slept on it, the better.

Thanks again.

I am introducing my adult daughters to cruising and I want it to be perfect.

Hello there~~

In January of this year, there was a thread on this subject:

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=468849

....and one of our fellow CCers, MaryEBS posted that on Deck 7 the new staterooms are 7568 through 7582. If Mary is correct, then your stateroom will be one of the new ones, and hopefully that sofabed will be very comfy!

I asked this question on another thread and didn't get an answer, so I'll give it a try here. We are booked in cabin 7008 on Enchantment for our upcoming cruise. It's an oceanview cabin on deck seven, but the stateroom's footprint looks identical to a balcony stateroom (minus the balcony, of course!) Can anyone verify that the square footage of cabin 7008 is the same as that of a D1, or is that just an optical illusion on the deck plans?

Here's to wishful thinking!!!!

No clue on actual square footage; however, I do know that the deck plans are not to scale.

  • 1 month later...
I just booked room 4080 which I hear is right under the casino and the new bar (can't remember the name). Has anyone stayed in this room? Is it too loud and should I change my room? Thanks so much!

We stayed in Room 4064 and found it to be quiet.:)

Needvacationbad, thank you so very much. I ended up switching to 4068 which is very near where your room was. I glad to see it was quiet. Thanks for taking the worry out of me!:)

do you know how "obstructed" the view from cabin 7008 is?
