Proud Mom Posted June 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I know the Norwegian is freestyle, but how relaxed are the evening shows? My husband and I are not the type to get all dolled up. Can you go to the show in nice shorts and a nice shirt?
silkhair1 Posted June 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2007 yes you can. We usually go after dinner so we are wearing our casual dinner attire. I have seen people dolled up and also on shorts even jeans. Freestyle baby. not a big deal. Have a great cruise!
dwrist Posted June 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Definitly! :) The only dress style I have not seen is swimsuits or jammies.

cliffd64 Posted June 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Being freestyle, you are free to wear "whatever" in the shows... as long as it's something :) Wear what you are comfy in :) Be advised that the theatre can sometimes be chilly in the AC... but everyone is diffwerent in that aspect :)
Proud Mom Posted June 6, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Thanks to all who replied. You made my day. I am now looking forward to my cruise even more, if possible. Norwegian Dawn July 28, 2007
mbisson Posted June 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Definitly! :) The only dress style I have not seen is swimsuits or jammies. Great! Now that you've said that, someone will do it and someone else will come to this board to complain that they saw someone do it and it ruined their cruise experience and then I'll have to add them to my ignore file ;) But then someone else will quote them in their post and I'll end up seeing it in the future anyway. LOL
heelfan94 Posted June 6, 2007 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2007 This is off topic in a way (I know, ) but do you ever read a thread title, then you look at it again and think....what?! I'm not picking on the OP here, because I know I do it, too. But "question about dressing in night shows" made me do a double take. Is Freestyle so freestyle now that people are bringing a change of clothes and dressing in the theater??? Did the dressing from dinner somehow end up backstage??? ;)
Droopy_Sails Posted June 6, 2007 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2007 HIGHLY recommend bringing a sweater, light wrap, etc. to the show lounge. The AC is VICIOUS!

cliffd64 Posted June 6, 2007 #12 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Maybe I've been hanging out here too much ;) I think you may have hit upon a creative solution to the chair hogs in the auditoriums... ;) One sight of me in a speedo and there will be HUNDREDS of empty seats :)
Toyz711 Posted June 6, 2007 #13 Share Posted June 6, 2007 during our alaska cruise, it was chilly for the theater shows. i was never dressed up more then black slacks and a light pull over sweater. the air conditioner was on full blast in for stage shows and not enough in the casino. ddoll Posted June 6, 2007 #20 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Just a small word of advice however: I saw a woman take a big tumble down the stairs in the theater while wearing flip flops. Seems like her foot slid off them and the rest of her went flying. It can be dark in there.
