Tahoe5 Posted June 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2007 We were on the Conquest in Dec. in 6456 & 6454. The carnival TA told us we would be able to open the door on the balcony between our cabin and our kids, but once on the ship our room stewart told us they could only open them when in port for safety reasons??? As for the rooms, they were located right above the lounge and lets just say we learned alot of new songs word for word while lying in bed trying to sleep. Will never book those rooms again.. For drinks etc :D if wanting two cabins next to each other-- thenbook a cabin number-- do NOT take a gurantee coz there is no guarantee they will be next to each other-- theymight be on the same deck-- wide apart. it wont matter what side you are on-- the captain decides on how to dock when he arrives--depending on when he arrives/how many ships are already there--when he is leaving etc. one port youmay face the island-- the next port you face the seas. do not book a cabin based that youmay see the port coz youwill be disappointed. dividers on the balconies do open-- but some do not because when the divider is opened it will block the balcony cabin door. the divider once opened will stay open the whole week. Matlily Posted June 8, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 8, 2007 Thanks we have now secured cabins 6427-6429-6431-6433, do we just ask the steward to open the connection between the cabins? I hear we are over the casino! hope thats ok, we are not early to bed peeps. I suspect we will be the ones rolling into our cabins from the disco well after midnight!:D but if we did happen to have an early night do you think we will be ok there? Thanks for your answers so far, any extra help is appreciated. :)
Kcarp Posted June 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2007 As for the rooms, they were located right above the lounge and lets just say we learned alot of new songs word for word while lying in bed trying to sleep. Will never book those rooms again.. For that reason, we moved up one deck to the Empress deck(aft 7448) never heard any music or noise. Great location with cabins under you and above you. You are above the Blvd walking area of the promande. I dont know if all 4 of your cabins will be able to have the divider opened. It depends on where the door to the balcony is located. if a divider opens to the balcony door you will not be able to have the divider opened. On another- the divider will block the windows. On conquest class ships- the dividers are opened by the stewards. If you dont see him/her leave a note on the bed to open it up.

serene56 Posted June 15, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 15, 2007 Yes for me and a couple of others and some have been on a couple of cruises before. very excited :D shhh-- sometimes you can tell a new cruiser-- I love people watching when i first get onboard- I love those new cruisers. Something we watch-- those bar waiters offering you drinks at sailaway make it sound like the drinks are free-- they have a tray full of nice fancy drinks and ask you if you want one-- of course you take one--take a sip and then will he ask for your card-- that drink set you back almsot 9 bucks. so be careful=== and dont tell many people coz its my favorite past time.
