Jewel? Where are you?

Hi,

 

Has anyone seen the Jewel of the Seas? We took our first cruise on her in march and I have been watching the boards to see any comments about her 'drydock' in Germany (end of April?) Can anyone provide an update about what was done?

The Jewel is, according to Cruise Ship Calender, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tomorrow she'll be at sea on here way to Stokholm, Sweden.

I haven't read anything confirmed about her going in to drydock. Just rumours.

You haven't read about it because Jewel's drydocking was rescheduled from April to next Fall. It will go into drydock while it is in Europe to have a diesel generator installed (I believe all of the Radiance class ships will have this done) to save on fuel when the ships are in port. Our planned Westbound TA from Harwich to Boston was a casualty of this change in schedule. :( Now, after the Jewel emerges from drydock it will reposition directly to Ft. Lauderdale from Harwich. In 2008, however, she will return to her Harwich to Boston itinerary and do a series of cruises out of Boston to NE/Canada before she repositions to Miami on October 28th.:)
