Would 'these' shoes go okay with 'this' dress?

Recommended Posts

TIA!

I don't have the actual photos of the shoes and dress I bought, but these are VERY similar. (My halter dress is green and white, (cotton.) I bought a pair of white sandals to go with the dress, but normally I don't like white shoes (on me, anyway.) Then it dawned on me I have these beautiful silver shoes. They're not as sparkly. This is for one of the casual dining nights.

I like the shoes. They don't look silver to me, however but silver with small rectanglular slivers of rhinestones on the thong straps.

I have similar wedgie thongs in gold metallic and I can wear them with many earthy colored casual clothes. My only concern with these shoes shown in the picture are that they aren't plain silver and the rhinestones make them look a bit dressier.

If your shoes are just a silver metallic I think they would look fine with the dress you described.:)

If the dress is a summer cotton sun dress, as you described it, the shoes in the picture look way too dressy in my opinion. If they don't appear so dressy in "real life", they'd be fine. How about a pair of sandals or espadrilles...in white, natural or green?

The silver shoes which I'm wearing don't have rhinestones, but they are 'sparkly.' I might stick with white sandals. (Unfortunately, I can't wear espadrilles. I have heel a heel spur, and espadrilles are a little too uncomfortable.) I'm glad for the honest opinions. I'm clueless on 'casual' wear, LOL!
