woodmill100 Posted June 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2007 This has probably been asked before but I hope you don't mind me asking again. Currently in the UK, I can't get my hands on a brochure plus my internet connection is playing up so I can't look this up on the website! We're looking at a Vancouver roundtrip on Ryndam next May. We were originally looking at a BB cabin which seem to be all but sold out on the date we want to go. For a little more (well a fair bit more) we can get a S class deluxe verandah suite but I can't find out what "extras" you get for the additional cost. Can anyone help me or has anyone been in an S Suite that can tell me if they are worth forking out that little bit more for. Thanks for your help. gizmo Posted June 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2007 The S cabins get all the goodies. Along with a much larger cabin you get these: :) Use of the exclusive Neptune Lounge and personal concierge service Complimentary laundry, pressing and dry cleaning throughout your cruise Premium duvet, oversize bath towels and soft, cotton bathrobes and slippers Gorgeous corsages and boutonnieres for the first formal night Hors d'oeuvres served before dinner each evening on request Binoculars and umbrellas for your use on the cruise Cocktail party with ship officers Priority boarding for tender ports of call Special disembarkation service Priority dining and seating requests Exclusive daily breakfast service for suite guests only High tea service in suite on request A special Suite guest lunch event on cruises over 7 days in length
jtl513 Posted June 12, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2007 One perk that's often omitted from the list Gizmo just gave: you can eat breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill. :)
cp556 Posted June 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2007 Your budget is your business, but if it stretches for an S Suite, my suggestion is GO FOR IT. Check your itinerary, and if you have a couple of ports that are tendering, not docking, your Suite Card will permit you priority boarding on the tender ... last year at Icy Strait Point we rode over with the Polar Bear (OK, OK, the guy in the Polar Bear costume who was going to pose with passengers for pics) ... that was a great benefit to not have to wait in line for a tender. (Plus, I learned it wasn't a REAL polar bear;) ). We love the free laundry benefit, as well.... There are lots of posts on CC about Suite Benefits, so when your internet connection recovers you can prowl around for them.....
