The cabin number you selected will be the one you will keep until the last day of the cruise.

On my last cruise on the Freedom, I booked a specific cabin but with a guarantee category upgrade, you can do either way. When I first made my reservation I wanted to be in a specific part of the ship so I selected the cabin it was an OV, but about 10 days out Carnival called my CVC rep and offered an upgrade to a balcony, I looked at where the cabin was and liked it so I took it. Normally though I just book a 4A guarantee and take what they give me, I'm not in the room much so I really don't care too much what cabin I get. My current edocs are still showing my 4A guarantee, with my cabin TBA, I'm 81 days out and I may not know where I'm going until I get to the ship
