mistyw Posted June 22, 2007 Author #30 Share Posted June 22, 2007 We're sailing on August 5 (my fiance and I) and I'm so excited to just hop on the T and go on a cruise! No traveling beforehand, easy breezy! I'm sure I will think of more questions as we get close. I'm a little dissapointed in the roll call, or lack there of. Hopefully some people will come out of hiding as the departure approaches. First time we're taking a cruise without other couples or friends, I hope we don't get sick of each other or bored! Are there a lot of activities on sea days? I keep seeing reviews of people saying they were bored on the ship. And yes, I am dismayed by that other thread. Some people are really callous! I didn't have a minute to spare...the games by the pool were a laugh a minute!! I spent some time in the Casino...well...maybe lots of time and there was Bingo and dance classes and lots of other activities planned. I'm off to dance right now but will take a look at my Dailies tomoorow and try to be more specific! You will love this cruise. Does anyone have pictures or videos of the pool games or Conga line to share?
mistyw Posted June 22, 2007 Author #31 Share Posted June 22, 2007 Misty / Angel Are those menus you posted from the Majesty fairly current (ie this years) ? angeljt Posted June 23, 2007 #34 Share Posted June 23, 2007 Angel - thanks. We leave in a few weeks - 7/8 - and I was trying to find the 2 worst menu nights, one to eat at the Pasta Cafe, one to eat in Bermuda via the dine a shore progam If anyonce has recently been on the majesty - and cen even post what "theme nights" each night was, that would be a help Thanks You're welcome. I believe the Pasta Cafe only offers 2 entree selections per night, so you might want to see which night is to your liking. I'm not sure if you can find that out ahead or not, but you can go to the info desk when you first board and ask for menus..... Jackie

mistyw Posted June 23, 2007 Author #36 Share Posted June 23, 2007 I'm on that sailing too! Have you posted in the Roll Call folder? Hi Berryberry, I'll try to answer as best I can and not make this too long.Sunday there was a poolside sail away barbacue with chicken & ribs, fries, baked potato, corn, salad, fruits & desserts. There is a pasta bar near the pool with caesar salad, red sauce & alfredo, dinner in the dining room & the buffet is also available. There are late night snacks in the casino & Rendevous lounge. There are 4:00 tea sandwiches and warm cookies everyday & an ice cream bar near the pool with 2 flavors available each day...chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, coffee & macadamia nut. I had coffee & fruit delivered to my cabin each morning, then ate in the dining room. Eggs Benedict & Salmon Eggs Benedict were my favorite. There are pastries, muffins, toast, bagels, fruit, juice, sausage, bacon, omlets, pancakes & waffles. There is pizza, burgers, fries & hotdogs near the pool each day. There is a sub & sandwich station. A few of the dinner choices were Rock Lobster, Leg of Lamb, Beef Wellington, Flounder, Lobster Ravioli, Chocolate Lava Cake, Pistachio Pots De Creme & Creme Brulee'. There are many more choices throughout the week. These are just the ones I can remember. My friends & I used our Voucher at the White Horse on Tuesday in Bermuda. The chicken pesto was fabulous! Some of the ativities I remember...The casino,Bingo, Slot Tournaments, Art AuctionShore excursion talks, Dance classes, craft classes, the Welcome Aboard Show, Martini tasting (nominal charge), Cooking demonstrations, Music, Dancing & Koraoke. Don't miss Armadeus...they are fabulous! The pool games were hilarious...Mr. Hairy Chest won my heart! The Chocoholic Buffet is Friday night... it is worth staying awake for. I hope this answers some of your questions.

We belong to a square Dance Club & a Country Round Dance Club and often visit other clubs all over. Do you do either? I believe the name of the club in Taunton is the "Silver City Twirlers." You'd love it if you love to dance! I used to teach line dance a few years back & my husband & I still love Ballroom & try to find a restaurant on the weekends that has a band we can dance to. Where do you dance?

mistyw Posted June 26, 2007 Author #46 Share Posted June 26, 2007 This was my 12th. cruise...loved them all but this one far exceeded my expectations! Embarkation was easy. My oceanview room for one was adorable and always a pleasure to return to. I especially loved the towel animals that greeted me each night. The shows & pool games were fantastic. The photo staff did a fabulous job. The food in all of the restaurants and buffets was very, very good and the bar service was always prompt & friendly. I met many new friends and danced every dance to the most amazing band "The Reminisants." They made the dances interactive, fun and made you feel welcomed. In particular I enjoyed the dances by the pool and the pool games which brought pleasure to all who either watched or participated. The staff who ran these deserve a huge, huge round of applause. They far exceeded those I've done before. Best conga line I've ever been in!! I loved the Casino. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The choice of slots was top notch! This is a smaller ship...very easy to get around, clean & well maintained. The staff far exceeded my expectations as far as friendliness & willingness to help. This put me at ease. Disembarkation was a breeze and getting to the parking garage and pier also. I am already planning my next cruise!! It was that good! Jeniceves Posted June 26, 2008 #48 Share Posted June 26, 2008 I was told on another thread that the restaurant vouchers are no longer available on NCL, but I see you said you used them. Can you give more information on this?
