grandmacani Posted August 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2004 We will be dropping off a rental car, Hertz, in/near Port Canaveral prior to our cruise. We were told that they have a shuttle that drops you off at the pier. Wondering how crowded. Thought if it was maybe taking a cab. Any thoughts? CruiseMark Posted August 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Go to the site below for all the info you'd ever want to know about rental cars at Port Canaveral. For instance, did you know if you don't want to wait for the Hertz shuttle, they'll reimburse you up to $20 for taxi fare? cruztime Posted August 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Grandmacani, We used Budget this past May. We had 4 people and tons of luggage. We rented a minivan at the airport and spent the night at the Radison. In the morning we dropped the luggage at the ship then returned the car and took the shuttle back to the ship. There was only one other couple on the shuttle with us. Coming home we took the shuttle from the ship (they'll tell you where to meet them when they drop you off) with the luggage. We were the only ones on the shuttle that time. We had another minivan reserved and drove that back to Orlando. It's only about a 10 minute shuttle ride each way.
