We did the Powerboats through Carnival in November 2004. It was a lot of fun. There were only 6 of us from our ship. They put us on a van and drove us about 10-15 minutes (best guess) away from the port. We got a quick overview on how to drive the boats and the rules (not following too close, play follow the leader, etc.).

Each boat follows the other and going to the destination, they zig zag you around and stuff. You end up at a beachy area and they had a buffet. Our group played volleyball with another group from another ship. Some played in the water and some just napped in the shade. I think we stayed about 1 1/2 hours. Then we took the boats back (switched drivers) and then they drove us back to the port.

It was a lot of fun and I'd do this same type of tour in another port. I would imagine that teens would really like this tour.
