Went to St Marten on a cruise couple of years ago but wasnt on the island long enough to find out about crime at night. My daughter and boyfriend are going (20's) for a week and would like to enjoy some nightlife, however, not knowing the area was wondering if anyone knew if it is safe to venture out at night? Best bars and/or clubs to go to? Or is it much safer to just stay in at night. They will be staying at a private home not a resort and will have a car for the week. Thanks for any info.
