Hawaii return vs one way

We did the 11 night Honolulu to Ensenada in October 2002 and have booked the 14 night circle from L.A. for March 2006. Looking at the itinerary I would not suggest the 14 night circle cruise for first-time Hawaii visitors for the following reasons. If you do the 11 night out of Honolulu, this enables you to fly down early making sure you have time to see all the sights Honolulu has to offer. You also get 2 days on board ship in Honolulu and 2 days in Maui with this itinerary. These overnighters allow the cruiseline to bring "local" entertainers on board. We really enjoyed the children's hula school in Honolulu our first night on board and the island night deck party took place in Maui and had wonderful hula dancers/ukulele players.
